Legacy Society: Deferred and Planned Gifts
Members of the Legacy Society have made provisions for North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC in their financial and/or estate plans that will help ensure that the station remains a strong voice of North Carolina news and information.
North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC is a department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. All planned and deferred gifts are made to the university and designated to North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC.
WUNC works in close cooperation with the university's Office of Gift Planning to meet the needs of our donors and prospective donors. We would be honored to talk with you about options for accomplishing your personal goals while also making a legacy gift to WUNC-FM.
Sample Bequest Language
“I give, devise and bequeath [specific dollar amount, asset, percentage of, or remainder of estate] to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Foundation, Inc., a 509(a)(1) charitable organization located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for the benefit of WUNC-FM. The Foundation’s tax identification number is 59-1711424.”
Other Types of Deferred Gifts Include:
Life Income Gifts
Life income gifts allow you to make a substantial gift to WUNC while still retaining the income for life produced by the asset. Other planned gifts may benefit you in your estate and financial planning.
IRA Charitable Rollover Gift Option
This gift option may allow you to directly transfer some or all of your required minimum distribution directly to the WUNC-FM and avoid income tax consequences. [More Information]
