Prominent leaders from the North Carolina General Assembly have taken the reigns and are working to rewrite the controversial House Bill 2.

North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore says the new draft will retain language included in its first iteration surrounding the use of public bathrooms.

Host Frank Stasio speaks with WUNC Capitol Bureau Chief Jeff Tiberii about the future of HB2 and what a repeal will mean for divisions within the state legislature.
