Two of the new documentaries that are picking up steam this season have something in common: The filmmakers turned their lenses on their hometowns. In "45365," brothers Bill and Turner Ross create a realistic-impressionistic view of their hometown of Sidney, Ohio, weaving together snippets of everyday people's lives to reveal their complicated stories. In "The Way We Get By," director Aron Gaudet teamed with his fiancé Gita Pullapilly to craft a moving story of a trio of senior citizens who gather to greet troops leaving for and returning from Iraq in his hometown of Bangor, Maine. The filmmakers talk with host Frank Stasio about what it's like to take a closer look at home.
