Our New Orleans

Hurricane Katrina evacuee Pamela Broom and documentary studies teacher Dawn Dreyer wanted to provide a creative outlet for displaced storm victims to help them heal from the pain of suddenly losing their homes and starting over.  They collaborated to teach a course called "Our New Orleans," pairing former Louisiana residents with documentary students. The result is an imaginative collection of Bayou-inspired memories.  Broom, Dreyer, and class participant Natasha Ben join host Frank Stasio to share their projects.
