Yesterday, the country elected the first African-American President, Senator Kay Hagan sent Senator Elizabeth Dole packing, and Bev Perdue became North Carolina’s first female Governor-elect. Today, we let it all sink in. Host Frank Stasio discusses the races, the turnout and the aftermath of Election Day 2008 with: Rob Christensen, senior reporter and columnist for The News & Observer newspaper, Chris Ellis, assistant professor of Political Science at North Carolina State University, and Barbara True-Weber, associate professor of Political Science at Meredith College.
