Dr. Tracy Gaudet knew she had a calling in medicine unusually early in her life—in elementary school. But as she grew older, what she learned about the medical profession confirmed her fears that doctors were arrogant and cold. So she wrote medical school off. But a broken finger in college helped change the course of Tracy’s life. Now Dr. Gaudet is helping to steer the medical field in a whole new direction. As Director of Duke Integrative Medicine, she is turning so-called “alternative” medicine into mainstream medical practice. Dr. Tracy Gaudet joins host Frank Stasio to talk about changing the way we think about doctors and medicine.
