A union federation based in Mexico has filed a complaint against the state of North Carolina under the North American Free Trade Agreement. The union wants North Carolina to repeal its law prohibiting state and local employers from negotiating collective bargaining agreements with public employees. Host Frank Stasio discusses the details with local union president Angaza Laughinghouse and Fritz Mayer, an associate professor of public policy and political science at Duke University.
