Stuart Albright says he gained self-confidence from playing football in high school. Today he’s a teacher and coach at Jordan High in Durham, and he’s spent the past three summers traveling around the state and talking with other high school football coaches. He learned that, from New Bern to Cherokee, the high school gridiron serves as a lens on race and community. He shares his insights in his new book, “Sidelines” and joins host Frank Stasio to talk about football, brotherhood and North Carolina history.
