John Coltrane was born in Hamlet, North Carolina on September 23, 1926. His name is synonymous with Jazz. Now children's book author and High Point resident Carole Boston Weatherford has immortalized him once again in her book, "Before John was a Jazz Giant." She joins host Frank Stasio and Coltrane scholar Lewis Porter to talk about what everyone can learn from Coltrane about making music and becoming great.
