Just across the state line in Virginia is Coles Hill Farm. It’s less than a square mile large, but it sits atop as much as $10 billion worth of uranium ore. Farmer Walter Coles Sr. wants to begin mining, but his neighbors aren’t so eager. They're taking their case to Virginia’s General Assembly, and the outcome could impact everything from the energy industry to the Triangle’s drinking water. Virginian-Pilot reporter Scott Harper has followed the story, and he joins host Frank Stasio to explain the situation more.
