Wilmington author Clyde Edgerton grew up steeped in the Southern culture of Bethesda, North Carolina. So perhaps it’s no surprise that capturing the images and voices of the rural South is what he does best. Those sights and sounds enrich his latest novel, a story of two con men in the North Carolina countryside called "The Bible Salesman" (Little, Brown & Co./2008). Edgerton joins host Frank Stasio to talk about his latest work, pluck some tunes on his trusty banjo, and share how he continues to draw from his Tar Heel experiences in his career as a writer.
