In 2004, David A. Wilson, a young black man from New Jersey, began tracing his family tree. His search uncovered a painful truth: his great-grandfather was a slave who lived on a plantation in Caswell County, North Carolina. Wilson also discovered that the current owner of the property was named…David Wilson. So David A. Wilson, the young black man from Jersey, set out to meet David B. Wilson, an older white man from North Carolina. A film about that journey called "Meeting David Wilson" premiered on MSNBC back in April. Both men joined host Frank Stasio in the studio to discuss the film and race relations in America. This program originally aired on April 9, 2008.
