Our biggest fear used to be the A-bomb, but these days nuclear holocaust has been overshadowed by eco-anxieties that run the gamut from global climate change to BPA in water bottles. Host Frank Stasio discusses the new doom and the nature of cultural anxiety with: Tom Hoban, professor of Sociology and Anthropology at N.C. State University; Priscilla Wald, professor of English and Women’s Studies at Duke University; and, Robin van Tine, professor of Biology at Saint Leo University. This program was originally broadcast on June 5, 2008.
