Having established themselves as the new generation of traditional Piedmont string band music, The Carolina Chocolate Drops have hit the globe, traveling all over the world and introducing new audiences to their mix of past and present melodies. They play outdoors at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh on Friday night. The concert is followed by a screening of the movie, "The Great Debaters." The Carolina Chocolate Drops contributed to the movie's soundtrack and to its spirit. They give host Frank Stasio a preview of Friday night's concert when they drop by the studio with their instruments.
