One
of the leading American folk bands on the music scene today isn’t actually
American at all. Australians Carol Young and Kym Warner met Englishman Eamon
McLoughlin when they were struggling musicians in Texas, eventually joining up
to form the “The Greencards.” Five years later, the trio of ex-pats has
released its third album, “Viridian,” to critical acclaim, and now they’re
stopping by our studio. Listen today as the Greencards play a few of their
Grammy-nominated songs and talk with host Frank Stasio about their unique take
on traditional American musical styles.
