Durham author Margaret Sartor ripped her first book straight from the pages of her teenage diaries. The result, "Miss American Pie," (Bloomsbury/2006 ) is a revealing look at the agony of adolescence. Host Frank Stasio speaks with Sartor about her book, and we also look at the revelations of a diarist with Marcus Rosenbaum, editor of "Heart of a Wife: The Diary of a Southern Jewish Woman," (SR Books/1998 ). Plus, local blogger Anton Zuiker discusses the differences between keeping a diary under lock and key and blogging for all the world to see. Listener call-in.
