by Frank Stasio and Lindsay Thomas
Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey have been musicians just about as long as they've been friends. The pair first jammed together as kids growing up in Winston-Salem before forming the pivotal indie rock band, the dBs in the late 1970s. The last time they recorded as a duo was seventeen years ago, but their musical connection is too strong to die.
"hERE aND nOW" is a new CD from Stamey and Holsapple and it's an acoustic tribute to their four-decade career and friendship. They join host Frank Stasio to talk about what got them back together and the choices they made to create an album that speaks to their indie rock legacy. Plus, they play a few tunes live in the studio.
