After
collaborating on two plays set in Appalachia, Triad Stage Director Preston Lane and Composer Laurelyn Dossett have turned their attentions to the North Carolina coast. Their latest production
is about the most notorious sailor ever to roam the sounds and inlets of North Carolina’s Outer
Banks. “Bloody Blackbeard” opens Thursday at Triad Stage and shares the legend
of the infamous pirate. Lane and Dossett join guest host Eric Hodge to discuss
the play’s swashbuckling soundtrack and it’s “mostly true” plot.
