Making Notes

There must be something in the water.  How else can all the musical talent that comes out of the Carolinas be explained? From Nina Simone and 9th Wonder to John Coltrane and James Taylor, the rich heritage of song from North and South Carolina runs deep.  Ann Wicker, editor of the new anthology, "Making Notes: Music of the Carolinas" (Novello Festival Press/2008), joins guest host Eric Hodge to talk about some of the famous and not-so-famous tunes and talent produced in the Southern sister states.  Charles Blackburn, Jr. and Rick Cornell, who contributed essays to the book, join the conversation as well.
