Starting this August, the North Carolina School of Science and Math will begin a pilot program that will offer online courses to a group of up to 140 students. These will be students who have applied to the school but were turned down because of a lack of space. The idea is to expand the reach of NCSSM's high-level math and science courses to students across the state. Chancellor Gerard Boarman and Darlene Haught, the school's Dean of Distance Learning, join host Frank Stasio to talk about the exciting possibilities of online learning for students and their desire to make the program a model that other schools can follow.
