As an award-winning photographer for Getty Images, Chris Hondros has made 13 trips to Iraq and has traveled in more than half a dozen other war zones.
His images capture the complexity of life lived under siege. Hondros developed his affinity for photography while growing up in Fayetteville.
He talks with Frank Stasio about the changes he has seen in Iraq, the limitations of journalism and the story behind his most famous photo.
