If the law is “America’s operating system," should it be open source? That's the question a group of legal scholars and government officials will take up today at Duke University. Because laws are made on the federal, state and local levels it's difficult to aggregate and disseminate them efficiently. But the proposed website law.gov would offer easy and free access to the country's laws. Duke Law Professor James Boyle joins host Frank Stasio to discuss the issue of open source law, its benefits and obstacles.
