Hip-hop crew Kooley High has six members, but a whole community of support in the Triangle. Kooley High's local performances are almost always packed and a recent premiere of a documentary film about the group sold out a Cary movie theater. The same community that backs them up is the one that drives the creative and positive lyrics of Kooley High's emcees. After their successful EP of last year, the group has released a mixtape called "Kooley is High" and the film, "One Day: Introducing Kooley High," is being screened at more venues around North Carolina. Rapsody, Foolery and Charlie Smarts of Kooley High join host Frank Stasio in the studio to talk about their passion for hip-hop and their burgeoning success outside of the Tar Heel State. "One Day" filmmaker Napoleon Wright II also joins the conversation to talk about capturing the story of Kooley High.
