Bonnie Raitt found Will McFarlane in a club in Cambridge, Mass in 1974. He wasn't ordering at the bar though, he was playing the guitar, and playing it so well that Bonnie asked Will to join her on tour. He did, and stayed until 1980. He then moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama where he played on records for Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton, Etta James and Johnnie Taylor as part of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. He lives in Durham now, plays with The Will McFarlane Band and still enjoys the musical soul of the South. Will McFarlane joins host Frank Stasio to discuss his musical and spiritual journey.
