When Wilmington writer Dana Sachs first traveled to Vietnam, she immediately felt a connection to the country and the culture, even though it was a stark contrast to her native Memphis, Tennessee. Since that trip, Sachs has focused her creative efforts on telling the rich story of Vietnam through journalism, a documentary, a memoir and now a novel called, "If You Lived Here" (Harper/2008). Sachs' book chronicles the story of two women -- one American, one Vietnamese -- as they travel to Hanoi on a mission to adopt a child. Host Frank Stasio talks to Sachs about her latest work and her enduring love for Vietnam.
