Birds who aren’t of a feather do sing together, according to a new study from Duke University. Although they occupy very different perches on the avian family tree, only three types of birds have the ability to learn new songs. The study’s senior author, Erich Jarvis, joins host Frank Stasio in the studio to talk about his research and its implications for humans.
