In an unstable economy, cash is not necessarily king. More and more, business owners are turning to bartering exchanges. Instead of money changing hands, a company can barter for desired goods or services that include everything from healthcare treatment to advertising space. For this installment of "Money Talks," our occasional series on finance and the economy, host Frank Stasio trades words about the barter industry with North Carolina Barter Business Exchange President Maurya Lane and Ron Whitney, executive director of the International Reciprocal Trade Association.
