In the developing world, childbirth still puts mothers and babies at great risk of mortality due to lack of medical resources. A small team of doctors from Duke University Health Services is serving such communities in crisis by providing access to first-class healthcare in developing countries. Dr. Jeffrey Wilkinson is currently working at a facility in Moshi, Tanzania where he helps at-risk women safely deliver children. Wilkinson joins host Frank Stasio to talk about the challenges and rewards of delivering important health services to communities around the world.
