Repressed homosexuality, accidental pregnancy, sex with a minor and forbidden love: It’s the stuff of movies, but it’s also great fodder for conversation. Duke University’s Kenan Institute for Ethics is screening four recent films as part of a series called: “Sex, Love and Conflict: The Ethics of Relationships.” Frank Stasio discusses what we can learn from the films “Fight Club,” “Knocked Up,” “Notes on a Scandal,” and “In the Bedroom,” with: Marty Liccardo, an advisor in the Duke University Women’s Center; Suzanne Shanahan, assistant professor and the director of undergraduate studies in Duke’s Department of Sociology; and Ada Gregory, the Kenan Institute’s assistant director of administration, finance and planning.
