The Blessing of the Strings

In 2007, musician John Santa penned a memoir that, among other things, shared how he went from playing the blues to becoming ingrained in the culture and traditions of bluegrass after moving to North Carolina. Now, Santa and a team of local musicians have teamed up to release a CD to accompany the book called "The Blessing of the Strings: Songs from the Book 'Bluegrass is My Second Language.'" All the tunes are original and Santa along with Jeff Wiseman, Greg Eldred and Keith Carroll will join guest host Laura Leslie to talk bluegrass and play live in the studio.
