Tim Downs' new Bugman novel “Ends of the Earth” (Thomas Nelson/2009) has the protagonist, forensic entomologist Nick Polchak, investigating agro-terrorism, beginning with a cannabis farm. Polchak, a professor at N.C.State, also finds himself as one side of a love triangle. With this new thriller, Downs’ devoted readers are in for more intrigue and philosophical discussions of human nature. Tim Downs reads at Quail Ridge tonight but first he stops into our studios to speak with guest host Laura Leslie about living the writer’s life in Cary.
