Six-time Grammy-nominated artist Nnenna Freelon is about to take her voice on the road for a ten week U.S. tour with the Monterey Jazz Festival 50th Anniversary Band. Along the way she’ll document the tour and use it as a music education opportunity for a local school. She joins host Frank Stasio to talk about music education and the importance of the arts in her local community and in her family.
