Last year, musicologist Jonathan Kramer wowed us with stories of his travels to Suriname. The tiny South American country is filled with unique musical traditions that include plantation slave spirituals and songbird smuggling. Kramer is back from another trip there with more stories and more sounds. He joins host Frank Stasio to talk about the country's endangered traditions and how its government plans to use music to develop the cultural tourism industry.
