by Amber Nimocks and Frank Stasio
Mardy Grothe was a young man headed down the wrong path when he had a life-changing experience with a well-spoken mentor that not only changed his direction but also gave him an enduring love of language. After a successful career as a psychologist that spanned decades, he followed another dream and became a published author, putting his love of quotations to good use in books like "Never Let a Fool Kiss You or A Kiss Fool You” (Viking Penguin/1999) and his latest, "Ifferisms" (Harper Collins/2009). The Raleigh-based writer talks with host Frank Stasio about life and language.
