Performance poet Marc Bamuthi Joseph knows how to put on a show. His latest production is a blend of dance, spoken word, story telling, video footage and beatboxing. It's called "the break/s: a mixtape for the stage" and it's an ode to coming of age in the generation that witnessed hip-hop's evolution from "street music" to art form. Joseph joins host Frank Stasio to talk about walking the fine line between spoken word and rap, his transatlantic travels that have taken him from Haiti to Japan, and his affinity for multimedia self-expression.
