Alec Baldwin's "Here's The Thing" returns Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. with fresh conversations that provide unique entrée into the lives of some of today’s most exciting performers. Guests range from Jerry Seinfeld to Peter Frampton, from Judd Apatow to Chris Columbus. Baldwin sidesteps the predictable and fosters engaging conversations with a mixture of curiosity, intelligence and warmth.  The 11-week series starts January 5.

Award Winning Program "The Story" To End Eight-Year Run Due To Departure Of Host Dick Gordon

"The Story,” a nationally syndicated public radio news interview program hosted by the award-winning journalist Dick Gordon, will broadcast its final program on North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC on October 11, 2013.

Gordon plans to return to his native Canada, where he started his journalism career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, to be closer to his family.

Connie Walker, WUNC’s president and general manager, said Gordon recently made the difficult decision to step away from the program, which is produced at WUNC and offers an hour of stories, five days a week, in a long-form conversation format.

WUNC Ranked One Of Top Five Public Radio Stations

WUNC was ranked the number 5 public radio station in the country.

A new report by The Media Audit names WUNC one of the top five public radio stations in the country. The report used cume ratings – the estimated number of people who have listened to the station during a given period – to determine stations’ popularity. WUNC was ranked number five, with nearly 17 percent of adults in the market listening to the station in the past seven days at the time of the report.
