Hundreds of community members gathered at the Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount to discuss solutions for community violence after four teenagers were shot behind the church last month. Many at the meeting said an increase in gun availability on the streets of Rocky Mount contributes to the problem.

Family Reunion At Rose Hill Plantation

Leoneda Inge reports on the Harrison-Boddie Family Reunion at Rose Hill Plantation.

Thanks to the Internet, more and more families have been able to complete their family trees.  For African American families, the trail has led them back to the slave plantations where their story began in this country.  The Harrison and Boddie families of Nash County have been gathering for four decades.  But for the first time, they celebrated their family reunion at the Rose Hill Plantation near Nashville.

Controversy Over Proposed Chicken Plant In Nash County

Some Nash County residents are fighting to stop a chicken processing plant from coming to their area.

Gurnal Scott: Sanderson Farms already has a presence in Kinston.  Now it wants to bring a large poultry plant to Nash County. The Carolinas Gateway Partnership -- an economic development group -- is helping Sanderson. Partnership C-E-O John Gessaman says the company wants to go beyond its employment promise
