The Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary was the site of the third annual Triangle Area Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday September 17, 2016.

The event was organized by Asian Focus, an area nonprofit that supports programs to help Asian American and immigrants of all generations.

In the 1970s, Kung Fu movies took America by storm and Bruce Lee became a household name.  Lee turned into an unexpected icon for African-American audiences, and his image especially resonated with black males.

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro school system is considering eliminating one of its most iconic academic programs. A report commissioned by the district recommends eliminating the Chinese dual-language emersion program.
