2017 NCAA Championship

The UNC men’s basketball team beat Gonzaga last night to win the team’s sixth national title.

The game was played in Glendale, Arizona, but more than 9,000 Carolina fans watched from the Dean Smith Center on campus in Chapel Hill.

Redemption. That was the word on every Carolina fan’s lips. After the Tar Heels lost in heartbreaking fashion one year ago, this season was all about redemption.

Officials are reminding college basketball fans at the University of North Carolina that bonfires are prohibited on the main street adjoining the campus.
