The story of Frances and Susan Gravely and the company they founded, Vietri, sounds like a fairytale: two sisters from Rocky Mount travel with their mother to a tiny town in Italy on the Amalfi coast, where they stumble upon beautiful Italian pottery. After falling in love with the pottery, they decide to form a company called Vietri.
Twenty-five years later, Vietri is still a family-owned business-- and a multi-million dollar one at that. This September, the sisters and their mother are happily celebrating Vietri's silver anniversary. Host Frank Stasio is joined by guests Susan and Frances Gravely to discuss the challenges of starting Vietri and keeping a family-owned business together for twenty-five years.
