In the early 1980s, a group of Chapel Hill High graduates captivated music fans with their loud sound and high-energy live shows. The Pressure Boys became one of Chapel Hill’s original buzz bands—taking their sound around the country and opening for major bands, such as Duran Duran and R.E.M. Though the glory days are long gone, The Pressure Boys will take the stage again this weekend for two very special reunion concerts to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Host Frank Stasio speaks with three of the original band members, John Plymale, Greg Stafford and Rob Ladd about recapturing their youth and returning their good fortune.
