How did a Blues musician from Pittsburgh penetrate the inner circles of North Carolina’s Bluegrass scene? Chapel Hill producer, author and musician John Santa charts his journey into North Carolina’s underground pickin’ parlors in his new book, “Bluegrass is My Second Language: A Year in the Life of an Accidental Bluegrass Musician (Jostens/2007).” Santa joins host Frank Stasio to share stories about the lives that have been touched by the power of a shared love of music. Plus, we’ll hear some tunes off his band’s soon-to-be-released album.
