The Mysteries of Sleep

Why can’t we sleep? In this age of information overload, relatively little is known about the science of sleep, how much do we need and why? When’s the best time to get it and what really happens while we’re doing it? Dr. Andrew Krystal, director of the sleep research laboratory and insomnia program at Duke University Medical Center and Lemur Center researcher,  Dr. Judy Owens, director of the Pediatric Sleep Disorders Clinic at Hasbro Children's Hospital, and Deidre Barrett, clinical assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and author of "Trauma and Dreams," (Harvard University Press/2001) join Frank Stasio to help unravel the mysteries of sleep. Part of the series North Carolina Voices: Diagnosing Health Care
