More Election Coverage

Five candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate met in a March 28 forum in New Bern, NC. The debate was sponsored by The League of Women Voters and Public Radio East. The candidates participating in the debate were Duskin Lassiter of Lexington, Howard Staley of Moncure, Jim Neal of Chapel Hill, Kay Hagan of Greensboro, and Marcus W. Williams of Lumberton. The winner of the May 6 Democratic Primary will face Republican Senator Elizabeth Dole. The debate was moderated by Megen George, news director for Public Radio East.
