After a win in Pennsylvania -- the Clinton campaign is setting its sights on North Carolina. Former President Bill Clinton will be in Hillsborough and four other cities across the state today. Hillary Clinton will visit Jacksonville, Fayetteville and Asheville on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama has won the support of 29 North Carolina lawmakers. Senate Majority Leader Tony Rand was among those gathered outside the legislative building yesterday for the announcement. Rand says he doesn't think Fayetteville voters care about trivial issues that have come up in recent days like whether Obama wears a flag pin on his lapel.
"It's what you stand for... he could walk around naked as far as I'm concerned -- if he can get the price of gas down and stop the fighting in the middle east. Those other things are beside the point."
North Carolina's superdelegates could be crucial in the race. Out of 17 superdelegates, 6 have said they'd back Obama; only one is supporting Hillary Clinton.
