Election Results for North Carolina...
Barack Obama has won the democratic primary in North Carolina. With 70-percent of the results in, the Illinois Senator had 56-percent of the vote. Senator Hillary Clinton of New York had 42-percent.
Kay Hagan took a wide lead in the Democratic Primary for U-S Senate, beating challenger Jim Neal. As expected, incumbent Elizabeth Dole held off her GOP primary challenger by a wide margin.
In the crowded primaries for governor, Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue defeated state Treasurer Richard Moore. In the Republican primary, State Senator Fred Smith has conceded the nomination to Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory.
