It’s Friday – time for high school football. Tonight is the second round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association playoffs. That means the end of the season for some teams, while others will move on in pursuit of their dream of a state championship. High school football is one of the most visible expressions of a school’s community and spirit. That’s certainly true at Hillside High School in Durham, where the band and the football team are equally celebrated. Dave DeWitt has this audio postcard from the Hornets’ first playoff game.
