Easley Endorses Clinton

Governor Mike Easley has endorsed Hillary Clinton for the democratic presidential nomination. They both appeared at NC State's McKimmon Center yesterday. Easley told an enthusiastic crowd that Clinton has the ability to get things done, the Senator from New York returned the compliment.

"I am thrilled to accept his endorsement. Of course it's politically very meaningful. But even more than that it's great to have someone who understands what we have to do to transform our country."

Clinton has spent the last several days campaigning across North Carolina. Meanwhile, the Barrack Obama campaign is working to get supporters to the polls before the May 6th primary. Yesterday the Obama campaign held early voting rallies and marches to the polls across the state.
