The growing number of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan is forcing an expansion of a memorial for the fallen. The Fayetteville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce is helping raise money for the project. Kristie Meave works for the Chamber. She says the goal is to get the work finished in time for the 2010 Memorial Day activities.
"This expansion is in order to put all the names up of the additional soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives - the Special Forces soldiers from Fort Bragg that have lost their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq."
The Wall of Heroes is located in the Special Operations Comand's Memorial Plaza on Fort Bragg.
