If you've got a question for Democratic leaders, but can't make it to Denver, you can send a message today in downtown Raleigh.
The Democratic National Convention Committee is holding an open taping this afternoon in Moore Square. They're inviting voters to come record questions or messages for party leaders. The comments will be used in virtual "Town Hall" meetings at the upcoming Democratic convention in Denver. Voters can also submit questions or videos online. National Chairman Howard Dean says his party is trying to use technology to bring more people into the convention and help voters talk back to the candidates. Raleigh is one of eight cities hosting the open tapings in the run-up to the August 25th convention. There's no word yet on whether Republicans are planning anything similar for their September 1st convention in Minneapolis St Paul.
